This 2021 Sundancer was purchased by its second and current owner in December of 2021. At the time it was living in Oyster Bay, NY near Billy Joel’s house (one of them at least). Once the current owner bought it, he ran it all the way from Oyster Bay to its current home in Annapolis over 3 glorious (yet a little stressful) days.
Since then, it’s lived in Epping Forest and been meticulously maintained and barely run. Unfortunately, the owners bought the boat with the intention of overnight cruising up and down the Chesapeake Bay but lifestyle changes made that impossible so the owners are downsizing to better accommodate their new day boating lifestyle.
Straight Away is a beautiful cruising boat with twin Mercury Verado 350s that give it a cruise speed of 28 mph with a fuel economy of 1 mile per gallon. Hammer down the throttles to get all the way up to 45 mph. Just don’t look at the fuel economy once you’re there ;)
The beautifully-designed cabin has comfortable overnight accommodations for four and is fully heated and air conditioned. The forward V-berth doubles as a spacious dining table when you need to get out of the elements.
